US cancelled a USD $355 million contract for 20 Embraer EMB-314 (A-29) Super Tucano aircraft, three ground-training devices and three years of support to Sierra Nevada Corporation. These light attack aircraft is to be used to train Afghan Air Force pilots as well as to provide close air support for the Afghan Army in the field. Delivery was to starts mid-2013.
