Afghan Air Force, is based in Afghanistan.

AAF implemented the IFS (initial flight screening) and UPT (undergraduate pilot training) modeled after the programs used in the United States developed by USAF to instruct and develop new pilots. The AAF student's will spend the first six months flying in the Cessna 183 before transitioning to the Cessna 208 Grand Caravan for four more months. They will spend a total of about 10 months in training to graduate from the fixed wing UPT program.
