Israeli Air Force

Israeli Air Force ICOA Code: IAF, is based in Israel.

The Israeli Air Force (commonly known as Kheil HaAvir "Air Corps") is the air force of the Israel Defense Forces. The Israeli Air Force was formed in 1948, shortly after Israel declared statehood. At first, it was assembled from a hodge-podge collection of civilian aircraft commandeered or donated and converted to military use. A variety of obsolete and surplus ex-World War II combat aircraft were quickly sourced to supplement this fleet.
