Aircraft Runway In Romania

Romania is a country located at the intersection of Central and Southeastern Europe, on the Lower Danube, within and outside the Carpathian arch, bordering on the Black Sea. Romania shares a border with Hungary and Serbia to the west, Ukraine and Moldova to the northeast and east, and Bulgaria to the south.

Romania have 16 airports with concrete runways. Of the 16, 12 are ranked as international, the local aviation infrastructure is currently investing in modernization and expansion to adapt to wider demand.

Recently, Henri Coanda International Airport had its busiest day in its over 40-year history, with 58 charter flights bringing to Bucharest over 12,000 passengers. The airport had no problem in handling the flux and flight schedule. According to Romania General Directorate of Civil Aviation, there are four ongoing modernizing and development projects involving airport infrastructure in Romania.

The project targets the renovation of the stationary platform for aircraft at Mihail Kogalniceanu Airport in Constanta.  Meanwhile, modernization works will be accomplished at Suceava Airport. On its to-do list is targeting airports in Delta Dunarii Tulcea, Baia Mare, Oradea, Arad and Craiova.
