Cunderdin Airstrip is an important aerodrome used by flying school and General Aviation (GA) traffic for nav aid and circuits training.Cunderdin Airstrip was built early in the Second World War as a base for the RAAF flying school and bomber base. Cunderdin Airfield was the location for Empire Air Training Scheme (EATS) and operates as an elementary training school for ab initio pilots. Following the war the base was used as a migrant camp. In 1957, the airfield was privatised. The Gliding Club of WA is based in Cunderdin Airfield since 1959.
