The story of NTUC FairPrice could be traced back to the early seventies. Then, Singapore was faced with the oil crisis and rising prices due to inflation. The Labour Movement together with the determined Singapore government worked closely to find a solution to this serious problem.

FairPrice is geared to meet the exciting challenges ahead. It will continue to harness technology to enhance its operational efficiency and achieve efficient consumer response. To meet all these challenges of globalisation, the ever-evolving consumers needs and the advent of internet shopping, FairPrice will continue to be innovative, enterprising and progressive.
