Ang Mo Kio Community Library was officially opened on 17 August 1985.  The library was closed in April 2002 for upgrading and officially re-opened on 25 January 2003.  Covering an area of 4,765 square metres, the library spans two levels and serves the residents of central Ang Mo Kio GRC, which consists of Ang Mo Kio, Cheng San, Jalan Kayu, Nee Soon South and Yio Chu Kang.
