Jurong Town Council was formed on 13 November 2001. Covering estates within Jurong GRC and Bukit Timah SMC, Jurong Town Council is geared up to improve the quality of life of residents in these estates. There are about 64,000 housing, shop and office units under our management.  The Town Council schedules the housing blocks within the Town for cyclical maintenance which include rewiring, repairs and redecoration and re-roofing. Such programmes ensure that buildings and structures are kept in good condition. Besides that, more improvement projects will also be undertaken within the Town.
 
More covered linkways, children's playgrounds, senior citizens' corners, fitness parks, multi-purpose courts, residents' corners, pavilions, pebblewalks, seating facilities, street soccer courts and barbecue pits will be built over the next five years. These and other family-friendly features will be built to encourage neighbourliness among residents and to ensure that our residents enjoy quality living.

Services provided by the town council:

Conservancy and Maintenance - Cleanliness; Removal of bulky refuse (up to three items and not for house removal); Landscaping & horticultural works; Repair of buildings defects, eg. spalling concrete at common areas.

Cyclical/Improvement Works - Cyclical works, eg: repairing, rewiring and re-roofing; Upgrading of facilities and estate improvement projects; Interim Upgrading Programmes (IUPs); Disruption of water supply; Electrical Power failure; Faulty corridor/car park lightings; Lifts breakdowns - 24-hour lift rescue service.

Payment - Collection of service & conservancy charges; Rental of common properties.

Control on Use and Occupation of Common Properties with Enforcement action against: Unauthorised parking of vehicles at void decks; Unauthorised obstruction along common corridors and shopfronts; Unauthorised display of signs and banners.  Issue of permits for use of common properties, void decks and other facilities
