You can set the heading and course. I use a Go-flight RP-48 to do it but, there is a pop up EFIS panel that will allow to to change the look of the EHSI and set the course & heading. There is a bunch of information on the T-6 site on flying the plane.

The GPS is IMO its biggest weakness. David Brice admitted that he couldn't program it to perform the functions of the real GPS. I will forgive him and accept it is a lot more than we use to have.

I have been going through the UPT syllabus and practicing many of the flight procedures. You can do about as much with it as most FSX add-on aircraft.
