Kinabatangan

Kinabatangan River offers typical tropical rainforest lowland vegetations and ecosystem. The area is wet and humid and the swampy lowlands are home of the proboscis monkeys. Kinabatangan is in the Sandakan Division. It is the administrative centre for the Kinabatangan District. Kinabatangan is rich in Plantation agriculture (oil palm), forestry and wood-based industries.
