The Monsopiad Cultural Village is the only cultural village in Sabah. The 6th and 7th direct descendants of Monsopiad built the village to commemorate the life and times of their legendary ancestor and to maintain a link with their Kadazan past.
The reconstructed village is built on ancestral ground – the very area that Monsopiad lived and roamed three centuries ago. It was opened in May 1996 and is managed by the descendants of Monsopiad.  As the village is a living museum to showcase the Kadazan culture and to transport visitors back to the past, you are invited experience some of the activities of yore.
