Kangar

Kangar is the capital of the country’s tiniest state. A small and low-lying town, Kampar is bordered by expanses of padi fields.   The most significant landmark in Kangar is the beautiful Masjid Alwi. Other attractions in the town include a farm, a bird park and a large picnic area. The Putra Palace Hotel is the foremost among the state’s accommodation facilities.  Although development is speeding up in Perlis, and the skyline of its administrative capital is changing, the town has still maintained its appeal as a close-knit community.
