Teratak Za’ba was set up for several reasons, but the main purpose is definitely to acknowledge the many contributions that Tan Sri Zainal Abidin Bin Ahmad or better known as Scholar Za’ba had made to literature and the country as a whole.
Asides from his valuable contributions to literature, he was also involved in language, politics, religion, education and other aspects of sociocultural development.  Teratak Za’ba was also built to commemorate his birthplace and to serve as a storehouse for this great man’s work, his memoirs and memorabilia. It offers society at large an opportunity to appreciate the numerous contributions he made to all the above fields.
