Cementi Town is one of the early new towns which began construction end 1974. It occupies some 400 hectare of land with 50% devoted to residential development.  Clementi Town is bounded by Clementi Avenue 6, West Coast Highway, Clementi Road, and also Sunset Way. The focal point in Cementi town is the town centre where the MRT Station and Bus Interchange are located. The town centre with shops, cinemas and other facilities serves as the main hub of activities in the town.
