Queenstown Town has the distinction being the first satellite town built by the HDB. Construction started as early in July 1952 with the last neighbourhood completed in 1973.  The area of Queenstown stretches along the Commonwealth Avenue. It is accessible via the Commonwealth and Queenstown MRT stations.
