The blue waves represent the Kallang River, the pulse of Jalan Besar just as it was in our forefathers' days when it was also the life force of the coolie trade.  The red sails depict the bustle of a busy port that is Singapore as well as the vibrant resort environment that our Town Council aims for the Town and its people.  The housing flats in the background are indicative of the core of our Town Council's concern, that is, the maintenance and enhancement of the public housing estates within the Jalan Besar Town.  Altogether the logo is unique of Jalan Besar and symbolic of the aspirations and spirit of the Town.
