Marina City - Three high-rise focal points, adjacent to the major open spaces and the new Integrated Resort a.k.a. Casino will anchor the respective districts. Specific maximum building heights will be assigned to parcels at strategic locations to give hierarchy and differentiation to the skyline and reinforce the city structure. Signature 3D Layered Look - Around Marina Bay, building heights will be kept low-to-medium rise, with heights stepping up behind, to provide a unique 3-dimensional layered effect. This will create a signature image for Singapore's CBD
A primary street grid of east-west boulevards and north-south avenues will provide access within the area and connect to the existing CBD and realigned East Coast Parkway (ECP), linking to the islandwide road network. Continuous roads, laid out in a hierarchical manner, will ensure vehicular and pedestrian connectivity between districts. The regular street grid, coupled with specific landscaping schemes along the primary roads, will provide a clear sense of orientation. View corridors and through-block links within key developments, similar to those at UOB Plaza and One Fullerton, will provide visual references towards the waterfront and key landmarks.
