RHB Bank in Singapore
RHB Bank core business centred in the RHB Head Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. RHB Bank has built an extensive financial network throughout Malaysia and Singapore. RHB Bank Berhad was born in 1997 by the merger of DCB Bank Berhad and Kwong Yik Bank Berhad. On 30th June 1999, Sime Bank Berhad was merged with RHB Bank Berhad to become the third largest financial institution in Malaysia. Under the Malaysia government-imposed merger or consolidation of financial institutions, RHB Bank Berhad had in 2000 obtained the Anchor Bank status and became one of the 10 Anchor Banks in Malaysia. On 1 May 2003, RHB Bank Berhad and Bank Utama (M) Berhad were officially merged into one bank, thus completing the consolidation of the Malaysian banking sector.
