Singapore have 3 mobile operators - Singtel, Starhub and M1. All the three offers data 3G and 3.5G data service. Of late, the prices of data service has come down due mainly to negative press reports of being excessive expensive and very high latency rate when connecting to overseas site. Here is the updated rates as of 1 January 2008.

S$22.42 per month with unlimited data usage
Pay as you use S$10.70 per GB

Starhub MaxMobile Unlimited
S$72.76 per month with unlimited data usage
Pay as you use 10.70GB

Data Calculation Guideline:
50kb per text-based e-mail
300kb per web page
2,000kb per MP3 song
10,000kb per short video.

In a typical work day, do expect about 50MB of data usage which you work on your notebook.
