Raffles The Plaza morph into Fairmont Singapore

Raffles The Plaza has changed its name to Fairmont Singapore. This will be the first Fairmont hotel opened in Asia. The hotel portfolios of Raffles otels & Resorts and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts were combined after theacquisition of the latter by Kingdom Hotels International and Colony Capital n May 2006. With this rebranding, all three brands under Kingdom / Colony -Raffles, Fairmont and Swissôtel are now represented in Singapore. Raffles The Plaza has been successful in Singapre for the last seven years. With the name change, it will bring the Fairmont customer to Singapore. Fairmont Singapore offers 769 luxurious guest rooms and suites.  Its room prices start from $259 SGD (Approximately $189 USD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes, service charges and gratuities.
