The Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall is one of Singapore`s most treasured national monuments.  It is fondly known as Wan Qing Yuan, its former name, which means `a haven of peace in the twilight years`.  Dr Sun made 8 known visits to Singapore, and stayed at this villa on at least 3 of these visits.  It was from this nerve centre that Dr Sun and his men planned activities, raised money and rounded up supporters for the revolution.  Visitors to the Memorial Hall can explore different galleries featuring excellent paintings, wax figures of Dr Sun and his team, a video show, and a gift shop.

Located at 12 Tai Gin Road (Off Ah Hood Rd, near Balestier Rd). Open from, 9am to 5pm (Tuesdays to Sundays), closed on Mondays.

Admission is SGD 2 per entry.
